Rooks Roofing partners with LIVE2540, a Christ-centered nonprofit bringing lifesaving healthcare to children in Liberia, West Africa. Our partnership helps fund care at the Jesus Loves Me Children's Center and save lives every day.
At Rooks Roofing, we think about the people living under a roof as much as the roof itself. Over the past year, our family and our business have partnered with LIVE2540, a mission that has served children and families in Liberia since 2008.
We got involved because taking care of people shouldn't stop at the property line. LIVE2540 gave us a direct way to do that: fund medical care for kids at the Jesus Loves Me Children's Center. A full course of life-saving nutrional care, for example, costs a little over $30, or 48 cents per packet delivered.
"I wanted to show people the cost of Plumpy'Nut compared to something relatable, like a family meal at Chick-fil-A. I want them to see how simple it is to get involved."
— Kendyll Rooks, Co-Owner of Rooks Roofing

Support Live2540's mission

LIVE2540 was founded in 2008 by Daryl and Chrissy Roberts after Daryl's life-changing mission trip to Liberia, where he met 67 children living in an orphanage in dire need. What began as support for those 67 children has grown into a multi-country operation: today, LIVE2540 serves children across five countries, providing millions of meals, education, medication, and discipleship annually. The Jesus Loves Me Children's Center represents the latest chapter in that expansion—a dedicated hospital built to serve the region's most vulnerable kids.
In 2021, LIVE2540 broke ground on the Jesus Loves Me Children's Center in Bong County, one of Liberia's most remote and underserved regions. Three years later, in October 2024, the 18,000-square-foot hospital opened its doors.
More children arrive every month than the month before. They travel from Liberia and from neighboring countries, including Guinea and Sierra Leone. LIVE2540 projects the center will treat more than 60,000 children in 2026 alone.
Two conditions make up most of that caseload: malaria and severe acute malnutrition. In a single month, the center gave over 2,000 malaria vaccinations. It expects to treat more than 20,000 complicated malaria cases in 2026 alone. Its inpatient feeding ward treats malnourished children with therapeutic milk or Plumpy'Nut over two to three weeks.
The center counts on over 170 staff members who call themselves missionaries first and medical providers second. Worship, Bible study, and prayer are part of patient care every day, rooted in Matthew 25:40.
Through our partnership with LIVE2540, Rooks Roofing has already helped provide more than 2,200 life-saving medical treatments to children at the Jesus Loves Me Children's Center. That number keeps growing every month.
